Workers’ Comp Self-Insurance Rule Chapter Revision Hearing Scheduled for June 24

The Florida Department of Financial Services (“DFS”), Division of Workers’ Compensation has issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking regarding Rule Chapter 69L-5: Rules for Self-Insurers Under the Workers’ Compensation Act.
Rule Chapter 69L-5 is being amended to concurrently repeal and replace all existing Rules with new Rules that have been restructured and renumbered to clarify the workers’ compensation statutory compliance process used by self-insured employers.
The hearing Notice, which is attached for your review, provides the proposed text of each proposed Rule.
If requested in writing within 21 days of the date of this Notice, a hearing will be held at the date, time, and place shown below (if not requested, a hearing will not be held):
