Nov 18, 2008
A public Rulemaking Development Workshop was held on November 17, 2008 by the Florida Office of Financial Services, Division of Workers’ Compensation to discuss proposed Rules and the name change of Ch. 69L-56, F.A.C. to “Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Requirements for Proof of Coverage and Claims (Non-Medical)” from its former “Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Technical Requirements.”
To view the complete text of proposed and affected Rules under Chapter 69L-56, click here.
Proposed Rule 69L-56.205 Policy Reporting Requirements for Employee Leasing Companies, which provides four new ways to report a professional employer organization, represents a significant change among the other Rules listed under this Chapter. The proposed reporting requirements are expected to help shrink the coverage gap and standardize reporting.
The remainder of the proposed Rules reviewed at the Hearing would effect minimal changes to dates and Internet-related references.
The record will remain for comment open for one week from the Hearing date (November 17).
A document containing samples of the new identification codes and the text of the proposed Rules is attached for your review.
