Watch Tomorrow’s Florida Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Working Group Meeting Live on the Florida Channel

Florida Insurance Consumer Advocate Robin Smith Westcott’s Personal Injury Protection (“PIP”) Working Group meeting tomorrow, September 15, 2011, will be Webcast live on The Florida Channel. The meeting times run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. the same day. To access The Florida Channel, go to: www.thefloridachannel.org.
Participants will discuss the benefits and disadvantages of Florida’s current No-Fault system and identify the processes that are susceptible to abuse or fraudulent activity. The Insurance Consumer Advocate will gather ideas from the Working Group to develop a well-documented report to address the fraud and other potential alternatives to No-Fault/PIP. The report will be completed and delivered to Florida Chief Financial Office Jeff Atwater by October 25, 2011.
Tomorrow’s meeting will be held in the House Office Building (Room 404) of Florida’s Capitol Complex in Tallahassee, Florida. To access the agenda, click here. Public comment will be heard during the afternoon session.
