Updates to Florida Office of Insurance Regulation’s Quarterly Supplemental Report Filing System Rated as a ‘Substantial Improvement’

Apr 7, 2015

To facilitate the electronic filing process for Florida residential property insurers, while keeping a high level of transparency for the consumer, the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (“OIR”) has revised its Quarterly Supplemental Reports (“QUASR”) system.

Detailed information on the changes, as well as instructions for using the revised QUASR system were provided in Informational Memorandum OIR-15-02M, issued March 27, 2015.

The OIR indicated it will be asking for feedback and comments from all filers on the new QUASR system and revisions.  Preliminary testing indicated users had positive experiences from what they rated as a “substantial improvement.”

Beginning with First Quarter reporting, which, commences on April 1, 2015 and ends May 15, 2015, filers must submit their QUASR reports through the OIR’s Data Collection and Analysis Modules system here.
