Updates to Florida Insurer Financial Reporting Rules Proposed

Notices of two proposed Rules relating to Florida insurer reporting requirements and audited annual financial statements were published by the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation yesterday, July 12, 2017.
A July 27, 2017 hearing in Tallahassee at 9:30 a.m. on both Rules has been tentatively scheduled should a member of the public request it.
Amendments to Rule 69O-207.001, F.A.C., entitled “Late Filed Reports – Fine Schedule” would update the amount of the fines accessed for the late filing of annual statements or reports of insurance administrators.

Amendments to Rule 69O-197.006, entitled “Insurance Administrator Annual Report,” would amend requirements regarding audited financial statements that are filed by insurance administrators.
