Update: The proposed Rule draft of 69O-142.015: Standardized Requirements Applicable to Insurers After Hurricanes or Natural Disasters is attached for your review, in addition to the referenced form OIR-DO-1681.
The Florida Department of Financial Services, Office of Insurance Regulation (“OIR”) has issued a Notice of Rulemaking Development regarding the following Rule relating to insurer claims reporting requirements:
- 69O-142.015: Standardized Requirements Applicable to Insurers After Hurricanes or Natural Disasters
The proposed Rule would adopt standardized reporting requirements that may be applied to insurers as a consequence of a hurricane or other natural disaster. The purpose of the workshop is to develop Rule revisions that would incorporate updated information with respect to claims reporting requirements, and to clarify the format of the required information.
If requested in writing and not deemed unnecessary by the agency head, a Rule development workshop will be held at the date, time and place shown below:
