Utah House Bill 333, which pertains to Unfair Inducements Related To Insurance Products, became effective on March 18, 2011, when Governor Gary R. Herbert signed the enrolled bill into law.
This legislation provides a bright line on what can or cannot be offered through the sales process of insurance products, except title insurance. It also allows certain valued added items, provided there is a fee that is equal to, or exceeds the fair market value of the item.
