U.S. House Insurance Subcommittee to Hear Testimony Today on Impact of Proposed International Insurance Regulatory Standards

The U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Financial Services’ Housing and Insurance Subcommittee will conduct a hearing at 1:00 p.m. today, June 13, 2013, on the impact of proposed international regulatory standards on the competitiveness of U.S. insurers.
Those scheduled to speak are listed below, inclusive of hyperlinks (in bold) to their respective testimonies:
- Mr. Michael McRaith, Director, Federal Insurance Office; U.S. Department of the Treasury
- The Honorable Ben Nelson, Chief Executive Officer; National Association of Insurance Commissioners
- The Honorable S. Roy Woodall Jr., Member; Financial Stability Oversight Council
The hearing will focus on the various international regulatory standards being proposed by the G-20, the Financial Stability Board, the International Association of Insurance Supervisors and other international supervisory authorities.
