U.S. House Financial Services Subcommittee Chairman Kanjorski Circulates Discussion Draft of Accountability and Transparency in Credit Rating Agencies Act

Today, September 25, 2009, Congressman Paul E. Kanjorski (D-PA), Chairman of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Capital Markets, Insurance, and Government Sponsored Enterprises circulated a discussion draft of legislation that would create the Enhanced Accountability and Transparency in Credit Rating Agencies Act.
Kanjorski also announced yesterday that the Subcommittee on Capital Markets, Insurance, and Government Sponsored Enterprises will hold a hearing on Wednesday, September 30 to discuss the Enhanced Accountability and Transparency in Credit Rating Agencies Act and the draft legislation released today.
