U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke to Hold Financial Education Teacher Town Hall Webcast on August 7 at 2:30 p.m.

U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke will address educators from Washington, D.C. in a nationwide Webcast on August 7, 2012.

“Conversation with the Chairman:  A Teacher Town Hall Meeting” will be streamed live starting at 2:30 p.m. EDT.  The event will conclude at 3:30 p.m.

Chairman Bernanke’s live message for teachers will focus on the need for personal financial education in the wake of the recent financial crisis.  After his remarks, he will take questions from K-12 and post-secondary educators of economics, personal finance and related disciplines.

To watch the Webcast, go to http://www.ustream.tv/federalreserve.   Twitter users can also follow the Federal Reserve Board’s Twitter feed, @FederalReserve, and join the discussion about the event by using the hashtag term #FedTownHall.
