The U.S. Census Bureau has released detailed 2010 census data that is now available in an interactive 50-state map illustrating the population growth that has occurred in all 50 states over the past 10 years.

Florida’s 2010 resident population of 18,801,310 represents a 17.6 percent increase over its 2000 resident population of 15,982,378, thus causing the state to gain two seats in the U.S. House of Representatives.
