Texas Department of Insurance Contact Information To Change

Proposed Rules were published today, January 28, 2015, to address changes to Texas Department of Insurance (“TDI”) contact information, including telephone numbers, facsimile numbers, TDI email addresses, the TDI Web site address and street address.
A necessary process to update TDI contact information that also appears in rules and forms, the rulemaking also addresses the dissemination of public and insurer information.
The TDI has already changed many of its telephone numbers on December 18, 2014 after the telephone system was recently replaced at agency’s Austin headquarters. Of note, TDI facsimile numbers with the 512-490-xxxx prefix will not change.
The TDI anticipates that the numbers for personnel at its field offices for financial examinations, windstorm inspections and the State Fire Marshal’s Office will change before the end of this month.
