The Science of Storytelling: Controlling the Story Through Strategic and Persuasive Deposition Techniques
Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island Plaza I
The importance of properly preparing for a deposition is too often overlooked by witnesses and defense counsel. Yet, telling the wrong story, going beyond the story, or allowing the story to be misconstrued or misunderstood can completely derail a case.
Join us as we explore how best to convey your message from both a legal and neuroscience perspective. Learn when and how to answer questions so that you are always in control. Understand the key brain anatomy associated with making storytelling impactful and memorable and learn how to use existing neural networks within these structures to allow you to frame stories in a way people can relate to. Listen to why your body language, demeanor, cadence and choice of words can make a difference on how your story is understood and remembered.
Presented by Kellie Janke (Magna Legal Services) and Amy L. Koltnow, Esq., (Colodny Fass)
