Strike-All to HB 1495 Substitutes Senate Property Insurance Bill Language

Apr 28, 2009

This morning, April 28, 2009, the Florida Senate took up the House of Representatives’ omnibus  property insurance bill, HB 1495, and substituted its own version of that legislation, SB 1950, in a strike-everything amendment to HB 1495.

HB 1495 passed the Senate by a vote of 34 to 2, and will now be returned to the House, which can concur, or amend the proposal and send it back to the Senate.

The House is expected to amend the newest version of HB 1495 and return it to the Senate.

SB 1950 has been “laid on the table,” meaning, essentially, that it has been replaced by HB 1495.
