South Carolina Reminds Insurers of Drivers License Verification Requirements
Jan 9, 2009
The South Carolina Department of Insurance recently released a bulletin reminding all property and casualty insurers that write private passenger automobile insurance policies in the State of South Carolina of the State’s drivers license verification requirements.

South Carolina law requires insurers to verify that all automobile insurance applicants (or designees) possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license, or otherwise meet the requirements of State law (Chapter 77, Section 38-77-112) in order to secure insurance coverage.
