Senate Legislative Update re Property Insuance Package 05/04/06

The Florida Senate took up its property insurance package this afternoon but temporarily postponed the bill until tomorrow before having a debate. A multitude of amendments have been filed to the strike-everything amendment on the bill, and these amendments will likewise be discussed and debated tomorrow.
A copy of the strike-everything amendment is attached. You can find a copy of the amendments filed at www.flsenate.gov under bill number 1980. Debate on this bill will likely take up most of the day tomorrow, and, if unfinished, may take place in a special session. We will provide updates on events as they occur.
