Second Windstorm Mitigation Review Hearing to Cap September 15-17 Florida Hurricane Commission on Loss Projection Methodology Meetings

A three-day meeting of the Florida Commission on Hurricane Loss Projection Methodology (“FCHLPM”) scheduled for September 15, 16 and 17 will culminate with the second in a series of mandated hearings on Florida’s windstorm mitigation credit system. During the first two days of the meeting, the FCHLPM will hear reports from the General, Meteorological, Statistical, Computer, Vulnerability and Actuarial Standards Committees, as well as the Acceptability Process Committee. Technical changes to the 2009 Report of Activities also will be discussed.
On the third meeting day, the FCHLPM Windstorm Committee will hear testimony on Florida’s wind mitigation credit system from state regulatory and risk management agencies, hurricane computer modelers, insurance agents, insurance companies, wind mitigation inspectors and members of the public.
