The School Board of Broward County issued the following news release today, June 9, 2011:
School Board of Broward County Seeks Community Input on Selection of New Superintendent of Schools
The School Board of Broward County, Florida is in the process of selecting a new Superintendent of Schools. The Board recently hired Ray and Associates, Inc. (Cedar Rapids, IA) to conduct a national search for a permanent superintendent to succeed James F. Notter, who will retire June 30, 2011.
Recognizing that the hiring of a new superintendent of schools is one of its most important responsibilities; the Board is seeking input from the community.
Community members may attend one of four public forums to provide input on the characteristics and qualities the Board should look for in a new superintendent. They may also provide input through an online survey that is available in three languages. The survey may be accessed at (www.browardschools.com) and will be available until 8 a.m., Thursday, June 16.
