Reinsurance Collateral Rule Revisions Posted

To address certain concerns expressed regarding proposed Rule 69O-144.007 Credit for Reinsurance from Eligible Reinsurers, the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (“OIR”) has issued a Notice of Change with revisions to the Proposed Rule.

Although no further hearing yet has been scheduled, the OIR has indicated that additional changes to the proposed Rule may be forthcoming.  An OIR notice will be issued at that time.

Colodny Fass will continue to monitor the issue and provide information as it becomes available. 

Comments on the proposed and revised Rule may be submitted directly to the OIR.
