Florida House of Representatives Session

The Florida House held Session on Friday, April 24, during which it discussed the following insurance-related bill:

  • HB 1175 relating to Recovery, Towing and Storage of Vehicles and Vessels by State Representative Clay Ford (R-Pensacola)
    • Update:  HB 1175 was read a second time on Special Order in the House and now awaits a third reading.  To view the most recent bill analysis, click here.

 

Florida Senate Session

The Florida Senate held Session on Friday, April 24, during which it discussed the following insurance-related bills:

  • CS/CS/SB 714 relating to Condominiums by the Senate Committee on General Government Appropriations and State Senator Dennis Jones (R-Seminole)
    • Update:  CS/CS/1st ENG SB 714 was read a second time on Special Order in the Senate, during which three amendments were adopted.  The bill now awaits a third reading.  To view the most recent bill analysis, click here.
  • CS/CS/SB 1894 relating to Surplus Lines Insurers by the Senate Committee on Finance and Tax and State Senator Mike Bennett (R-Bradenton)
    • Update:  CS/CS/1st ENG SB 1984 was read a second time on Special Order in the Senate, during which one amendment was adopted.  The bill, to which eight amendments have been filed, is awaiting a third reading.  To view the most recent bill analysis, click here.
  • CS/CS/SB 1950 relating to Property Insurance by the Senate Policy and Steering Committee on Ways and Means and State Senator Garrett Richter (R-Naples)
