OIR to Issue Notice of Rulemaking Regarding Public Hurricane Loss Projection Model Fee Schedule

The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (“OIR”) will publish the following Notice of Proposed Rulemaking in the August 29 issue of the Florida Administrative Weekly. An advance copy of the Notice and full text of the proposed Rule is attached for your review.
Rule 69O-170.0144: Public Hurricane Loss Projection Model – Fee Schedule
The purpose of this Rule is to establish a fee schedule for access and use of the Public Hurricane Loss Projection Model by residential property insurers.
If requested in writing and not deemed unnecessary by the agency head, a Rule Development Hearing will be held on:
September 23, 2008 at 9:30 a.m.

Any person wishing to provide information regarding the statement of estimated regulatory costs, or to provide a lower cost regulatory alternative, must do so in writing by Friday, September 19, 2008.
