OIR Rule Workshop Canceled: NAIC Handbook and Quarterly Reporting

On Monday, July 23, 2007, this office attended an Office of Insurance Regulation (“OIR”) workshop on Rules 690-138.001 and 690-137.001 relating to the adoption of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners’ (“NAIC”) Financial Condition Examiners Handbook and Annual and Quarterly Reporting Requirements, respectively. 

Rule 690-138.001 adopts the 2007 NAIC Financial Condition Examiners Handbook.  Rule 690-137.001 adopts the 2007 NAIC Quarterly and Annual Statement Instructions and NAIC’s Accounting Practices and Procedures Manual. 

The workshop was not held because it was not requested by any interested party.  Next, the Rule will be published and a public hearing will be held, if requested.
