OIR Postpones Developmental Disabilities Workgroup Meeting Scheduled for August 22

The Developmental Disabilities Compact Workgroup and Developmental Disabilities Compact Consumer Advisory Workgroup meeting scheduled for Friday, August 22, 2008 has been postponed due to Tropical Storm Fay.
The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (“OIR”) will announce the new date soon.

Meeting Postponed
WHAT: The Aug. 22 meeting of the Developmental Disabilities Compact Workgroup and the Developmental Disabilities Compact Consumer Advisory Workgroup has been postponed.
WHY: The meeting is being postponed as a result of Tropical Storm Fay and the possible weather-related issues it could cause.
WHEN: The first meeting of the two workgroups was scheduled to take place Friday, Aug. 22 at 1 p.m. in Tallahassee.
A new date will be announced soon.
INFO: The Compact Workgroup will develop and execute a compact relating to insurance coverage and access to services for persons with developmental disabilities. The Consumer Advisory Workgroup will provide a forum for comment on the negotiated compact.
Deputy Insurance Commissioner Mary Beth Senkewicz is the chairperson of this effort on behalf of Commissioner Kevin McCarty.
