OIR May Not Issue PIP Advisory

We have recently learned that Florida’s Office of Insurance Regulation (“OIR”) may not issue an advisory memoranda addressing the sunset of Florida’s no-fault law.

Although internal discussions are being held on the issue, officials from OIR have stated that they anticipate a special session to be called regarding automobile insurance.  Thus, there may not be a need for a memorandum addressing the sunset of PIP. 

We will continue monitor any developments on this issue will and provide updates as necessary.
