OIR Launches iApply Online Insurance Company Application Program

The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (“OIR”) has implemented iApply, a new online system designed specifically for the OIR Company Admissions Department to handle the receipt of certain insurance company applications. 

Following is a list of tasks that can be performed in iApply: 

  • New Admissions Application
  • Corporate Amendment
  • Report Acquisition
  • Report New Officer or Director

The OIR is encouraging companies to begin making appropriate filings through iApply.   OIR has advised that it will work closely with insurers during the filing process to answer any questions or address any problems that may arise. 

At this time, there is one reported problem concerning iApply.  OIR has advised that the iApply system is currently compatible with only Internet Explorer Version 6 or the Firefox browser.  If you have Internet Explorer Version 7 or any other browser, iApply will not work at this time.  The OIR is working to address this problem.
