OIR Holds Workshop on Proposed Rules

Aug 24, 2007

On August 21, 2007, the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (“OIR”) held a workshop on Proposed Rules 69O-136.022 “I-Apply” and 69O-136.020 “Forms Incorporated by Reference (Common Forms).”

Proposed Rule 69O-136.022 creates a web-based application system for licensure, registration and acquisition applications.

Proposed Rule 69O-136.020 approves licensure, registration and acquisition application forms.  All common forms used for the above procedures would be combined under this one Rule so that only one Rule would need to be updated, should revisions be necessary.

Drafts of these Proposed Rules will be available by September 19, 2007, when they will be presented to the Financial Services Commission to be approved for publication.  A Notice of Proposed Rules will be published in the Florida Administrative Weekly and a Rule Hearing will be subsequently scheduled.

We will continue to provide updates as new developments occur.  In the interim, please feel free to contact this office should you have any questions regarding this information.
