OIR: Disaster Reporting Testing Sept. 3-30

The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (“OIR”) has issued Informational Memorandum OIR-07-13M today, August 30, 2007 to all Florida property and casualty insurers, residual and alterative markets, and surplus lines providers regarding Florida Catastrophic Event Data Reporting (CEDRA) Revisions.Â
A copy of Informational Memorandum OIR-07-13M is enclosed for your review.
The purpose of this Memorandum is to inform the insurance industry of OIR’s expectations regarding disaster reporting in the event of a storm during or after the 2007 Hurricane Season.
A two-week period of industry testing and training for Data Collection Form Number: OIR-DO-1681 – SECTIONS A, B and C will begin September 3, 2007 and continue through September 30, 2007.
