No Budget Yet Passed; 2011 Florida Legislative Session Extended To Saturday, May 7 at 6 p.m.

Near midnight on May 6, 2011, the Florida House and Senate concurred in a motion to extend the 2011 Legislative Session until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday May 7, 2011, in order to allow time for further consideration of the $69.7 billion State Budget.

At 12:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, all other bills were indefinitely postponed or withdrawn from further consideration.

By law, the Budget is the only bill the Legislature must pass each year.
