NCOIL Takes Action on Producer Licensing, Auto Rental Damage Waivers at Spring Meeting

Attached, please find information regarding legislative action at the National Conference of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL) February 28 through March 1 Spring Meeting.  Lawmakers adopted, among other things:

 

·         a resolution supporting the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) and encouraging state participation

·         a model act that would require disclosure of auto rental damage waiver options

 

NCOIL is an organization of state legislators interested in insurance legislation and regulation.  Many legislators active in NCOIL either chair or are members of the committees responsible for insurance legislation in their respective state houses across the country.  More information is available at www.ncoil.org.
