NAIC Reinsurance Task Force Meets July 23-25; Reinsurance Regulatory Modernization Proposal Supporting Documents Distributed

The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (“NAIC”) Reinsurance (E) Task Force (“Task Force”)  has scheduled an interim meeting in New York on July 23-25, 2008 concerning the Reinsurance Regulatory Modernization Proposal (“Proposal”) currently under consideration by the Task Force and interested parties.

The Task Force has distributed the following documents in advance of the meeting and in conjunction with the Proposal:

• A compilation of comments with any resolutions or amendments to the prior proposal that were taken by the Task Force
• Two slides detailing the potential collateral impact of the modernization proposal

If possible, the Task Force would like to receive written comments prior to the interim meeting, but interested parties will have an open opportunity to address any concerns that they have with the proposal at that time.
