NAIC International Solvency Working Group to Meet On January 22 and Discuss IAIS Draft Standards

The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (“NAIC”) International Solvency Working Group (“Working Group”) of the Executive Committee will meet via teleconference on Friday, January 22 at Noon (EST) to discuss the following International Association of Insurance Supervisors (“IAIS”) documents:
- Draft Standard on Capital Adequacy for Regulatory Solvency Purposes
- Draft Standard on Enterprise Risk Management for Solvency Purposes
- Draft Standard on the Regulatory Requirements for Investment for Solvency Purposes
- Draft Standard on the Use of Internal Models for Regulatory Capital Purposes

The mission of the Working Group, which assists the Executive Committee’s Solvency Modernization Initiative Task Force, is to critically review and provide input and drafting to the IAIS Solvency and Actuarial Issues Subcommittee in order to identify future initiatives to improve the regulatory solvency system.
