Missouri Department of Insurance Names Mary Johnson as New Chief of Investigations

The Missouri Department of Insurance (“Department”) announced today, October 2, 2014, that Mary Johnson has been appointed to the position of Department Chief of Investigations.
Ms. Johnson has held the position of Chief Investigative Auditor for the Missouri Attorney General’s Office since 2007. Her duties there included investigating fraud, supervising auditors and ensuring federal performance standards were met. Her extensive investigative knowledge gained through audits and financial analysis was described by the Department as adding another layer of protection for Missouri consumers.
“We look forward to leveraging Mary’s extensive experience in law enforcement to better protect consumers,” said Missouri Insurance Director John M. Huff. “Her vast knowledge of investigations will be a great asset to the department.”
Ms. Johnson earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Columbia College and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in accounting from William Woods University.
