McKay Tax Swap Proposal Clears TBRC 18-7

By a vote of 18-7 the Florida Taxation and Budget Review Commission today (April 24, 2008) passed CP0002, Commissioner John McKay’s proposal to reduce Florida’s propery tax and replace it with a one percent-added sales tax and an elimination of various Florida tax exemptions. 

The issue will now go to the Florida ballot in Novermber.
