In Bulletin 11-24 (Corrected Version) addressed to all property and casualty insurers, the Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund (“MAIF”) and the Joint Insurance Association (“JIA”), Maryland Insurance Commissioner Therese Goldsmith directs that data must be provided as set forth in COMAR 31.01.02.07(3), relating to COMAR 31.08.12.05, the Emergency Regulation on Claims Information Hurricane/Tropical Storm Irene CAT #59.
Note below that data as of today, September 15, 2011 is due September 30, 2011.
The data shall be submitted for each individual insurance company in the attached form (Attachment A) and sent to Dawna Kokosinski, Market Analyst, Compliance and Enforcement Unit by e-mail at dkokosinski@mdinsurance.state.md.us.
Submission deadlines are as follows:
Data as of September 15, 2011 due September 30, 2011 Data as of December 1, 2011 due December 15, 2011 Data as of March 1, 2012 due March 15, 2012
If the company or association is unable to provide any or all the information, it must submit a detailed explanation as to why it is unable to provide this information and state what information it can provide.
Supplied data is confidential commercial data protected under State Government Article, §10-617(d), Annotated Code of Maryland, except when aggregated with data from all other insurers in a manner that does not permit any individual company information to be identified.
