July 31 Florida Cabinet Meeting Includes Adoption of Proposed Rules; OIR Performace Contract Approval

The Executive Office Of The Governor has issued a Notice for a regularly-scheduled meeting of the Florida Cabinet on July 31, 2007 at 9 a.m.  For a complete copy of the agenda, click here.

Rule 69O-149.002–NAIC Interstate Compact Standards.  This Rule is being amended to adopt the recent National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) interstate compact standard for defining incidental for accelerated
death benefits.

Rule 69O-170; Part I–Filing Procedures for Property and Casualty Insurance Rates, Rules, Underwriting Guidelines.  This Rule provides that a “Rate Filing” contains all material received by the Office during its review of the filing.

Rule 69O-171.002, .008–Reporting Requirements.  This Rule revises the process to be used for insurer data reporting.

Rule 69O-204.010–Viatical Settlements.  This Rule adopts the Forms necessary for regulation of viatical settlement providers.

Approval of the Office of Insurance Regulation’s (“OIR”) annual performance contract as requested by the Financial Services Commission for the purpose of establishing measurable performance expectations for each of the OIR’s responsibilities.
