Florida Cabinet–CANCELLED
The Florida Cabinet meeting scheduled for August 26 has been cancelled. The next Cabinet meeting is scheduled to take place on September 16. Included on the September 16 agenda will be the final hearing for proposed Rule 69O-144.007: Credit for Reinsurance From Eligible Reinsurers.

OIR Rule Development: NAIC Handbook, Reporting Requirements
The Florida Department of Financial Services, Office of Insurance Regulation has scheduled a Rule Development Workshop for September 4 at 9:30 a.m. in Room 142 of the Larson Building, 200 East Gaines Street, Tallahassee, Florida to discuss the following proposed Rules:
- 69O-137.001: Annual and Quarterly Reporting Requirements
- 60O-138.001: NAIC Financial Condition Examiners Handbook Adopted
Rule 69O-137.001 is being amended to adopt the 2008 NAIC manuals for annual and quarterly statements and the 2008 NAIC accounting practices and procedures manual.
Rule 60O-138.001 is being amended to adopt the NAIC Financial Condition Examiners Handbook to facilitate insurer financial condition examinations and ensure current generally accepted accounting practices.
