Insurance Capital Build-Up Incentive Program becomes a Budget Conference Issue

The Florida Senate passed House Bill 5057 regarding the Insurance Capital Build-Up Incentive Program (“Program”) with an amendment by Senator J.D. Alexander (R- Winter Haven) that strikes everything from the bill. Effectively, this action makes the provisions in the bill subject to the budget conference process because the Senate did not adopt the House language.

We expect the budget conference process to begin this week. We will continue to advocate for funding this program as the Session moves towards an end.
