GULFSTREAM AND UNIVERSAL RATE HEARINGS SET
Tallahassee – The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation has scheduled rate hearings May 30 in West Miami for input from the public concerning rate filings by Gulfstream Property and Casualty and Universal Insurance Company of North America, which are requesting statewide average increases of about 55 percent and 40 percent respectively. The requested rates are not uniform and some areas are subject to higher or lower rate changes.
The hearings for both companies will be at the Renaissance Ball Rooms, 5910 SW 8th Street, at noon.Interested parties may speak at the hearings or may forward comments to Kristopher Duer at kristopher.duer@fldfs.com.
