Hollywood City Commissioner Richard Blattner and Fort Lauderdale City Commissioner Charlotte Rodstrom voted Chair and Vice Chair of Broward’s Metropolitan Planning Organization on May 12, 2011

Hollywood City Commissioner Dick Blattner and Fort Lauderdale City Commissioner Charlotte Rodstrom are the newest members of Broward County’s Metropolitan Planning Organization (“MPO”).  The pair were voted chairman and vice chairman, respectively, during the May 12, 2010 MPO Board meeting.

The two new members will assist in the MPO’s implementation of the 2035 Broward Transformation Long Range Transportation Plan.

The MPO is a transportation policy-making board responsible for transportation, planning and funding allocation in Broward County.

The MPO works with the public, planning organizations, government agencies, elected officials and community groups to develop transportation plans.
