Governor to Attend Orange Co. Sept. 25 Climate Summit

Governor Charlie Crist is scheduled to make welcoming remarks at Orange County’s first-ever global warming summit, entitled “Climate Change in Orange County.” Â
The free event takes place at the Orange County Convention Center.
Roger Ballentine, an environmental and conservation policy advisor, is scheduled as the keynote speaker.
At the Orange County Climate Change Summit, Orange County Mayor Richard T. Crotty plans to begin greenhouse gas reduction efforts and explore issues, opportunities and available actions that must be taken by Orange county government, other municipalities, businesses and citizens. Mayor Crotty also will announce Orange County’s greenhouse gas inventory and the emissions reduction target.
