Governor Signs Jobs for Florida Bill; Vetoes Repackaged Drug Price Cap Legislation

Citing HB 5603’s potential to create “unintended consequences for injured workers, Florida Governor Charlie Crist vetoed the measure today, May 28, 2010, even though the bill was supported by Florida Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink because of its cost-cutting provisions.   The Governor’s HB 5603 veto transmittal letter is accessible via hyperlink below.

In addition to signing the State Budget today, Governor Crist also signed CS/SB 1752, a major economic development package also known as “Jobs for Florida.”
