Scott announces Citizens’ Board Appointments

Governor Rick Scott has appointed John W. Rollins and J. John Wortman to the board of governors at Citizens Property Insurance Corp. With these appointments, the board has its full complement of eight members.

Rollins, 41, of High Springs, is the president of Rollins Analytics Inc. Previously, he served as vice president of AIR Worldwide Corp., director of corporate analytics at Citizens, consulting actuary at Watson Wyatt Worldwide, and chief actuary and manager of strategic planning at Florida Farm Bureau Insurance. Rollins succeeds William P. Corry and is appointed for a term beginning Sept. 20, 2011, and ending July 31, 2014.

Wortman, 70, of Ponte Vedra, is CEO of Wortman Capital Associates. Previously, he served as CEO at a number of entities, including Louisiana Citizens Property Insurance Corp., Anthem Property and Casualty Insurance Cos., Michigan Mutual and Amerisure Cos., and American Mutual Insurance Group.

He also was a board member and chairman of the National Council on Compensation Insurance, and a board member of the Insurance Services Office, Alliance of American Insurers, and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. He succeeds Sherrill W. Hudson and is appointed for a term beginning Sept. 20, 2011, and ending July 31, 2014.
