Governor Receives Insurance-Related Bills for Action by June 28

Among other bills, Governor Charlie Crist received the following insurance-related legislation today, June 13, 2008:

  • CS/CS SB 2012: Relating to Insurance Policies

  • CS/SB 2462: Relating to Group Self-Insurance Funds

The Governor has until June 28, 2008 to sign the bills, veto the bills, or allow them to become law without his signature.

  • CS/SB 1008:  Relating to Failure to Redeliver Hired Vehicles
  • CS/CS/SB 1012:  Relating to Health Insurance
  • CS/CS/SB 1276:  Relating to Educational Facilities
  • CS/CS/SB 1310:  Relating to Sellers of Travel
  • CS/SB 1318:  Relating to On-site Sewage Treatment and Disposal Systems
  • CS/CS/SB 1360:  Relating to Pharmacy Technicians
  • SB 1456:  Relating to Medical Assistance Eligibility of Inmates
  • CS/SB 1588:  Relating to Property Taxation

Governor Crist also signed two bills into law today that benefit people with disabilities.  Senate Bill 856 promotes education of disability history and awareness, and House Bill 739 improves access to Guardian Advocates for people with disabilities.
