Governor Crist Signs Bill Relating To Ad Valorem Taxation

On October 30, 2007, Governor Charlie Crist was presented with Senate Bills 6D and 4D, both having passed during the 2007 Special Session D.  Senate Bill 6D provides for a special election to be held on January 29, 2008 relating to Ad Valorem Taxation, and Senate Bill 4D implements statutory requirements contingent upon the passage of Senate Joint Resolution 2D by the electors of the state.

Governor Crist signed Senate Bill 6D, but not Senate Bill 4D.  As such, if he fails to act on Senate Bill 4D by November 14, 2007, it will automatically become law.
