Florida Governor Charlie Crist announced today, September 17, 2008, the reappointment of four members to the Board of Directors of Space Florida, pending confirmation by the Florida Senate.

Governor Crist Reappoints Four to the Board of Directors of Space Florida

TALLAHASSEE — Governor Charlie Crist today announced the following reappointments:

Board of Directors of Space Florida
(Senate Confirmation Required)

  • Silas K. Baker Jr., 74, of Rockledge, retired program director, reappointed for a term beginning September 16, 2008, and ending June 30, 2012.
  • Kenneth M. Ford, 53, of Pensacola, director of the Florida Institute for Human and Machine Cognition, reappointed for a term beginning September 16, 2008, and ending June 30, 2012.
  • Gary Kompothecras, 48, of Sarasota, president of Physicians Group LLC, reappointed for a term beginning September 16, 2008, and ending June 30, 2012.
  • Kenneth J. Haiko, 61, of Pompano Beach, account executive with Packaging Corporation of America, reappointed for a term beginning September 16, 2008, and ending June 30, 2012.
