Governor Crist Appoints Two, Reappoints Nine, to Serve as Judges of Compensation Claims

Florida Governor Charlie Crist announced the reappointment of nine and appointment of two Judges of Compensation Claims today, November 26, 2008.

The following judges were reappointed:

• Gerardo Castiello of Miami
• James W. Condry of Orlando
• Charles M. Hill of Miami
• Mark H. Hofstad of Lakeland
• Ellen H. Lorenzen of Tampa
• Robert McAliley of Fort Pierce
• Sylvia Medina-Shore of Miami
• Thomas Glenn Portuallo of Daytona Beach
• Shelley H. Punancy of West Palm Beach

The following judge appointments were announced:

• Joseph Farrell of Orlando
• Stephen L. Rosen of Tampa

TALLAHASSEE – Governor Charlie Crist today announced the following reappointments:

Judges of Compensation Claims

• Gerardo Castiello, 45, of Miami, reappointed for a term ending April 5, 2013.
• James W. Condry, 51, of Orlando, reappointed for a term ending August 26, 2012.
• Charles M. Hill, 63, of Miami, reappointed for a term ending August 15, 2012.
• Mark H. Hofstad, 56, of Lakeland, reappointed for a term ending February 15, 2012
• Ellen H. Lorenzen, 58, of Tampa, reappointed for a term ending August 1, 2012.
• Robert McAliley, 66, of Fort Pierce, reappointed for a term ending August 1, 2012.
• Sylvia Medina-Shore, 43, of Miami, reappointed for a term ending March 12, 2012.
• Thomas Glenn Portuallo, 47, of Daytona Beach, reappointed for a term ending February 1, 2012.
• Shelley H. Punancy, 60, of West Palm Beach, reappointed for a term ending March 13, 2012.

• Joseph Farrell, 57, of Orlando, certified circuit mediator, consultant for Kelly, Kronenberg Gilmartin, Fichtel and Wander P.A., and adjunct professor at Barry University School of Law, appointed for a term beginning December 8, 2008 and ending Dec. 8, 2012.
• Stephen L. Rosen, 60, of Tampa, attorney in private practice at Stephen L. Rosen P.A., appointed for a four-year term beginning January 1, 2009 and ending January 1, 2013.
