Governor Bush to Sign Senate Bill 1980 05/16/06

Senate Bill 1980, Florida’s property insurance package, will be signed this morning by Governor Bush. In other news, the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund has published Proposed Emergency Rules and Addendums to Reimbursements Contracts, which can be found at the following link:

Addendum 2 relates to the provision in Senate Bill 1980 allowing Limited Apportionment Companies to purchase from the Cat Fund up to $10 million in additional reimbursement coverage. Note that this additional coverage is for a 100% reimbursement and includes LAE. Information from the Cat Fund concerning the Capital Build Up Incentive Program is forthcoming.
