Governor Bush Legislative Update re Veto of PIP Bill HB 2114 5/25/06

Governor Jeb Bush on Thursday signed the state budget into law after vetoing $448.7 million from the bill. The Governor gave a strong indication that he intends to veto the PIP bill (HB 2114) by vetoing the funding allocations tied to the bill including $900,000 in funding for increased fraud investigators and prosecution of PIP fraud and $1.1 million in funding for increased efforts to fight PIP fraud.
