Georgia Insurance Commissioner Oxendine Issues Automobile Insurance Directive

Pursuant to recently-passed uninsured motorist coverage legislation, Georgia Insurance Commissioner John Oxendine issued a Directive on Monday, August 18, 2008 to all Property & Casualty companies licensed to conduct business in the State of Georgia.

Signed into law by Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue, SB 276 contains substantive changes to existing uninsured motorist coverage statutes relating to personal private passenger motor vehicle rate filings.
