FSIGA Board of Directors Meeting Report: April 23

The Florida Self-Insurers Guaranty Association (“FSIGAâ€) held a Board of Directors (“Boardâ€) meeting on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 to discuss litigation matters.
The meeting, which had a quorum of Board members in attendance, was called to order by Executive Director Brian Gee.
Based on findings in a report given to Board members, Mr. Gee recommended that the FSIGA proceed with litigation against AIG regarding excess insurance claim denials. The Board voted unanimously to proceed.
The Board also approved an increase of $50,000 to the legal fee budget for 2008.
The next Board meeting was scheduled for June. Items to be discussed include first quarter financial statements, budgeting and contract issues and legislative matters.
The meeting was then adjourned.
